The Ferry RideA long 5 hour ferry ride from Valdez to Cordova. It was a beautiful ride. Cold, tiring but beautiful. My classmates and I enjoyed the ride, although we were very tired.
On the ferry, there were about 250 students going to Music Fest. 50 from Nenana and the other 200 from different Region 1 schools.

Nenana Choir Adjudications2nd PlaceFor our choir adjudications we sang Canticle of the Praise, Festive Alleluia, Tazama Bikhira and Ride The Chariot. When I was singing I heard us mess up quite a lot, according to the judges we were amazing. When we were announced second place our choir teacher and every one of us were very shocked and excited that we got second place. It has been how many years since we have placed in the top three. We're all very excited.
1st PlaceOur Nenana band combined with our Tri-Valley band has received 1st place out of all the other school bands. On our way home to Nenana everyone was very excited for our placing.

Mass ChoirMass choir was my favorite part of the whole trip. Every day we've practiced, practiced and practiced all four of our songs for our big performance. We've practiced and succeeded the songs Sicut Locutus Est, Hine Ma Tov, Omnia Sol and Bridge Over Troubled Water. These songs were drilled into our heads to make sure each section; alto, bass, tenor, soprano one and soprano two each hit their pitches. In my opinion we did fantastic.
As long as we live, there is never enough singing. ~Martin Luther |
Cordova, Alaska
Cordova, Alaska is where we had our 2013 Music Festival. It's a very beautiful place and I miss it there a lot. Hopefully someday, I will be able to visit Cordova again :)
